What a fresh and attractive wine this is! But at the same time it has a certain power and intensity which could even cut through a red wine. It has a pungent aroma – floral and zesty, and is richly textured in the mouth, with an apricot richness and vivid grapefruit flavours. Jancis Robinson has commented that “mineral” is the buzzword in wine, these days, and here that is exactly what we have on the finish! Acids are perfectly balanced. It has way more complexity than your standard vinho verde, which may well be put down to the lees ageing.
REMARK: This wine is matured and aged for 12 months in FRENCH Oak Barrels.
